IndieGo Music & Arts supported by Phonebox magazine is having a ball every month at The Two Brewers in Olney! Our next event on Thursday 11th July 2019 looks set to be yet another fantastic mix of talent from near and far. Whereas last month we led of the amazing emerging musical talent of Hannah’s Yard, this gig will be headlining with comedy as well as music from a genuine legend.
As well as telling you what to expect on the night, there are also details of how, courtesy of The Two Brewers how you and a friend can come eat for for free and even have a pint to go with it!
Brian Higgins is man of many talents. A fabulous portrait and lifestyle photographer by day, he is a top notch comedian by night. In fact he has been at the top of the comedy game for some years. Brian works across the UK comedy circuit and is seen on the bill of many of the great comedy nights and it’s a great pleasure to host him at our very own IndieGo Music & Arts on Thursday 11th July 2019he will be showing the Olney public why he is booked time and time again across the country.
Free to attend events
Remember, IndieGo Music & Arts nights are FREE entry events, but we do try to raise awareness and some much needed cash for local charities, so if you know of any local fundraising projects that could do with promoting and maybe some financial help then please get in touch. We pass a bucket around every night and our audience are a good bunch of locals who really care about our local community.
Why not bring your friends and make a night of it? Watching, listening and supporting local talent in a lovely Olney pub on a Thursday – great! The music starts at 8pm, however as those who attended last month, you are strongly advised to get there early. It might be free but we cannot guarantee a place. First come, first served.
Guitar legend set for IndieGo Music…
This month it is looking more likely that we will have the talents of a genuine guitar playing legend Del Bromham is a musicians’ musician. Del has played with the best and is still touring all over the world to packed audiences. Not only is he one of this country’s finest guitar players and songwriters he’s also one of the nicest men in the business. And he’s a local boy, he lives in Olney, and he has promised to come and play a few tunes for us.
We kick off at 8pm, but get there early if you want a seat. We have been packed for all events thus far and July is looking exactly the same.
We will open with a sprinkling of some of songs from our ‘house mates’, Ian Roberts and his band, the ever changing line up also includes regular players of Dave “the bass” Walford, Lucy “the voice” Mann, and Julian “the spoons” Smith. Then it’s over to all our other artists and musicians, we also have some wonderful words from a local poet, some amazing art by local painters, a beautician is popping in to talk of natural health and Ian Roberts’s guitar students are eager to get back on stage and show you what they have learnt since the last time
IndieGo Music & Arts nights at The Two Brewers coincides with the pub’s great value food offer. On Thursday nights it offers a homemade burger and a pint for just £10.00!
